1. Big Picture what is World of Rogues
We are building the next gen UGC (User Generated Content) gaming universe.
World of Rogues is an infinite, post-apocalyptic social survival MMORPG game with a player-driven economy. AI-enhanced UGC and digital ownership will be implemented to reward game content creators and players.
The “Create 2 Earn” economy will incentivize players to become content creators with royalty rewards. A UGC pipeline enhanced with ‘AI helpers’ makes sure that all content created feels part of the same universe our games are part of.
All of our games will be part of the same gaming universe, an example would be the minions from Heroes of the Flow making an appearance in World of Rogues.
World of Rogues is well positioned to redefine the gaming market as we know it.
Post-apocalyptic themes with a MMORPG core gameplay that includes crafting-survival mechanics and rogue-lite elements are becoming extremely popular in gaming, which is why World of Rogues is well positioned to redefine the gaming market as we know it.
2. Game Economy
We are creating a new system of monetizing your gaming experience within World of Rogues by introducing the Rogue Coin and the Rogue Point system.
Rogue coin:
Direct link with FIAT
Able to buy with our future token
Used to mint an NFT in-game
Used for game benefits such as increase land size, inventory, better drops and more benefits.
Rogue points:
No FIAT involved
Will unlock game items
Given for quests, login and sharing
Earned freely at giveaways and more
Are on Leaderboards and streak systems
Can be reset at any time, for example at the end of a season or competition.
3. Game Design
To make World of Rogues more engaging and appealing to current and new players we are working on new game design improvements:
Free-to-play focus (NFT/code needed initially)
Onboarding fixes - tutorial creation for new players
Social login
Existing mechanics improvements
PvE improvements: dodge, stamina, AoE attacks, armor, ranged weapons
New mechanics: cooking, farming, skills NFTs, land and more
Procedural dungeon
Land development
Token launch
OG players won’t lose their streak if they attend all sessions so far, they will also keep all of their items. Once public alpha is launched, everyone’s progress will be reset to a tutorial stage.
4. Development Plan
The development plan will be executed in the following phases:

Onboarding

Minting items
Virality
Phase II: Public Alpha 0.2
Additional gameplay

Skills (NFT)

There will be multiple marketing campaigns for the public launch and for each phase.
5. Gen 2 NFT Collection
Leading for the public launch we will have a new Gen 2 NFT collection that will have utility:
Fully playable avatars in the game
Additional utility in the game
2nd in importance, after Gen 1
The art development has already begun, we will start teasing the new characters in August and start marketing campaigns before they are fully revealed on September.
Waitlist will also open in September, we are thinking on minting on multiple chains although this is still to be confirmed.
We will reveal even more utility in future AMAs.
6. Q&A
AMA attendees were given the opportunity to ask questions to the Rogues team for them to answer, some of them where:
Will there be a drop of Gen 2 NFTs for Gen 1 holders?
This is something the team is still thinking about since there is still a lot of planning to do for the launch of Gen 2 including its supply and prize.
Will the Rogue tokens be burnt of will they be transferred to the studio wallet after being used?
It is more likely to be transferred to the studio wallet but the team will study both models and see which one works the best.
What games is the team using as inspiration for the combat mechanics?
There are a few good ARPGs such as Diablo, Last Epoch and more that we are taking inspiration from to build a fun combat system.
Will there be any Soulbound NFTs?
We find this to be a very cool concept so we are totally open to doing them.
Have you though of building Telegram bot games?
Morgan and Anna have kept an eye on those and they like the idea of those games but as of right now there is no time for developing these kind of games.
Will there be an Ambassador program?
We are planning on launching one in the near future, stay tuned for more information on this topic.
